Typeface

I’ve recently been working on a sans serif corporate typeface for a logistics company (whilst at Nonconform). A lot of the characters have been built from scratch, but I used Avant Garde Gothic as a base. I’ve created Book, Book Oblique, Bold & Bold Oblique weights. (Click on the image.)

VENT!

In a couple of weeks time I’ll be installing a large wall installation, which is part of VENT! A festival raising awareness about air quality in Liverpool. Poor air quality in Liverpool is not receiving the profile it deserves as it is a serious public health issue that other cities are facing up to. We […]

LHT wall graphics

Whilst working at Nonconform I recently designed wall graphics for the meeting rooms of Liverpool Housing Trust. The vinyl graphic works as two continuous lines that unfold and travel around the room, the beginning and end of each line connect. The lines build landscapes incorporating iconic buildings and bridges around Liverpool & Merseyside. More pics here.

Building a typeface

Here is a pic of the individual metrics for a lovely typeface. I have recently hand drawn and built the typeface at Nonconform. When it comes to constructing a typeface, I become unusually methodical! And find it an overall therapeutic process.
